We adopted Fletch after I spotted him on the pound website. I organised to get him out through Desperate For Love Pound Rescue. When I went to pick him up he hobble out of the pen looking worse for wear. The ranger asked if I still wanted him now that I had seen him. When I said yes the ranger gave me a hug, he said it was breaking his heart thinking about putting him down. We took him to the vet to have some bad teeth removed and after a check over the vet said we would be lucky to get 6-12 months with him. On Monday we will be celebrating his 6th gotcha day. He is approx 16 years old. We are currently doing a lap of Oz with him so as to spend some good quality time together. He makes us smile everyday and as he gets older we appreciate spending this precious time with him.
