Charlie is my magnificent kelpie! This started as a foster story and ended as an adoption story! Charlie came into my life from a regional pound as a foster dog through the Australian Working Dog rescue. He was skinny and petrified of EVERYTHING. It broke my heart and I had to learn quickly how to handle a dog with a 'history'. But, in true testament to the Kelpies trusting and loving nature, Charlie slowly came out of his shell and showed me glimpses of the incredible animal that he was 🙂
Fast forward two years and he is still a much loved and permanent member of my family! He has taught me the importance of patience when rehabilitating animals and in return (I hope!) he has learnt the value of having a family to love and care for him. Our friendship is unbreakable and I am so grateful that we crossed paths in this lifetime.
