It was love at first sight when I saw Bender at the shelter while volunteering. His previous owners had taken him for microchipping and then never picked him up, so he went to the pound before SCAR rescued him. After convincing my partner we should foster him, I brought him home, and week later we adopted him, or foster failed. He was 10 months and 45kgs, and now a year later he's nearly 2 yrs and 55kgs of beautiful snuggly couch potato. He was pretty shy at first, and he's still an absolute mummy's boy, but he's grown so much more confident and playful thanks to his older (but smaller) sister Lola (also from SCAR) teaching him how to play tug with toys and chase birds. It's been wonderful to watch Bender learn from Lola; it's as if they were always meant to be siblings, just waiting to finally find their forever home with us. The video I've attached captures both of their personalities quite hilariously! They have made working from home so much better with frequent puppy cuddles and making sure to announce the postman's arrival. We love them both to pieces, and are so glad SCAR rescued them.
