Kwinana Council Pound
When I saw Tobie I remember thinking he looked so scared and small. The pound told me he'd already been there for a week and still unclaimed. Tobie was extremely malnourished, dirty, very angry, unsure and just seemed to be a broken little dog. I noticed he only had one eye and his neck was covered in nasty sores. I decided on the spot I would rehome him and show him a good life. The first challenge was the vet. Tobie needed to have 'the op' and while he was under the vet checked his eyes. 1 eye was fine, but the eye he'd lost was badly infected and had never been surgically sewn correctly. I have found out since then, that Tobie was abandoned and left for a week on his own. He eventually dug under the fence and broke free. Tobie has gone from an angry, unsure and isolated dog to a trusting, confident and loving animal. Tobie has completely changed my life. Seeing him transform makes my heart melt. All I ever wanted was to show Tobie what love is and give him a good life. He's my world and I absolutely love him. Best decision ever!
