My teeny tiny Theo came to me with a mum and her two babies. Sadly he was gluey and could not smell his way to a nipple, so hand rearing began. Over the course of several weeks, I thought I would lose him. Between the cat flu, coccidia and then cat flu again (which became chronic) he gave me many sleepless nights.
He was a little fighter though and managed to grow up to be beautiful boy who is much loved by his adopted family. It was incredibly hard to say goodbye to him when he was adopted…many tears were shed… both happy and sad. Each and every cat and kitten that I have fostered over the last 5 years (well over 200 now) have enriched my life in untold ways. Knowing all that hard work has resulted, for the most part, in happy families and happy cats makes it all worthwhile.
