An Irish tourist who worked at the clinic fell in love with abandoned Shakes but had to offload him on Gumtree when the government made her work do farm work to extend her visa.

After a suicidal 2017, 2018 I started seeing a psychiatrist and trauma psychotherapist. My landlord steadfastly refused me a cat though you’d think he’d like to keep a clean, responsible 52yo woman.
I began reclaiming my life following counselling and put my hand up for Shakes, regardless of landlord.

Irish lass very choosy, GENUINELY wanted Shakes to a good home. Told me he’d had a tough time & I vowed to take care of him.

Landlord put rent up, so Shakes & I relocated to a (horror) sharehouse June 2019. Relocated again November 2019 – again Feb 2020, took landlord to VCAT (won).

Drove Shakes and me VIC to QLD March 2020 with everything I own in my car. Stayed somewhere 2 weeks, as the state shut its doors in our face. Relocated. Became homeless, put Shakes in a cattery.

No Gold Coast landlords wanted a lady with a cat. People said get rid of him but I wouldn’t. Now settled, he remains my companion.
