I went to the animal shelter to meet a dog, a dog up for adoption. It was love at first sight for both of us, I instantly melted and smiled broadly as this darling bundle ran clumsily to me as I enetered his enclosure. Three others were interested in him I was told, my heart sank a little. I got down to his level and hugged him tightly never wanting to let him go – you just have to be mine I whispered. I sadly left. waiting impatiently for the shelter to decide who would adopt him. The phone rang " Hes yours ". I jumped around with joy. I love getting up each morning to his waggly tail and warm licks. He is my first smile for the day. I love being with him, he is a constant joy, and I couldn't imagine my life without this beautiful soul, and I wouldn't part with him for anything. He is my little mate. His name is Ralphie and he completes me.
