I remember vividly the day we adopted Princess. I drove an hour out to Richmond to pick her up. She was kenneled with about 30 Pomeranians and they barked and bit me!. Poor Princess was a timid little thing and she was so underweight because those bossy Poms didn't let her eat any of the available food. People would stop us in the street after we got her home to ask what disease she had – she was so skinny! She is now a 15 year old senior and has been with us for 13 years. She sleeps in our bed, has travelled with us around Australia, eats poached chicken and kangaroo tendons galore, and has outlived two other adopted puppies. She is our everything.
