After spending the first 1-2 years of her life in an abusive home and then the next 3.5 in a shelter, my partner and I made the best decision of our lives to adopt her. I worked at the shelter and grew a very strong bond with Olive. She had been abused and neglected in her past home and as a result became fear aggressive towards strangers. With love and patience, olive has become the most loving, beautiful dog. She still has her issues which is understandable but she has come leaps and bounds since becoming apart of our family. From running freely at the dog beach to welcoming new guests into our home she is the pride and joy of my life. I have never felt love like this before. She has taught me resilience and patience and I have taught her to trust and love again.
