My foster, Mia, came to me out of nowhere. In urgent need because they were overwhelmed, Sydney Cats and Dogs Home asked me (who had never fostered before EVER!) To help out. And I did. Little mia, sick with cat flu, came into my life and she never left. Since I adopted her, we together have fostered 7 foster kittens. She took each one in as her own. At first, we were both heartbroken every time one left, and now we take the pain on because we know the love they gave and received, and we know that they go on to their forever homes, and that we still have each other. We've raised babies from 4 weeks old to 14 weeks old, and hope to raise a new bundle this year. And Mia still knows she's staying.
