I began fostering in 2016 at the age of 16, and I haven’t been able to stop since (400+ fosters now)! My time in rescue has made me grow as both a person and a carer, helping save the most vulnerable lives by handraising newborn kittens – to giving street cats a place to call “home” whilst we find their forever.

Fostering is SO rewarding, getting up and feeding newborn kittens every 2 hours throughout the night makes me feel like I have a “worth” because without my care, these tiny kittens wouldn’t be alive. As someone who has suffered from anxiety and depression most of my life, fostering has helped me find my place – I now know where I belong! Since fostering my mental health has drastically improved, and I no longer require medication which is HUGE for me!

I have watched my fosters go from vulnerable and weak, on deaths door – or terrified of humans, aggressive and scared – to happy, healthy, loving family pets.

I create a unique and special bond with each foster that comes through my door, it can be hard to say goodbye sometimes – but “goodbye” is the goal ❤️
