I found Holly who is an English Staffy at a Dog pound and it was love at first sight. She has a gentle loving nature despite her previous life of being a backyard breeders mumma dog and was dumped at the pound after her puppy making years were past. She was covered in eczema and had not been bathed in a long time but I loved her straight away. She has become the most friendly and happy little dog and doesn’t harbour any bad feelings about people or dogs. She’s just a social butterfly that got a bad start to life. She’s so good she found the lump in my breast and just in time for me to get a diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic breast cancer that would have silently killed me if not for my amazing Holly. We are together in this fight and she’s always by my side for cuddles when I find chemo treatment difficult to handle.
