Tom Kitten, the 13year old tabby cat who had been my son's cat since he was 4 years old, had died of kidney disease. We were very sad. On my way to work, I saw a sign outside a vet's clinic. It read : "KITTENS FOR SALE". On my way home I called in and asked to see the kittens. "Sorry", said the vet nurse, "The sign was turned around the wrong way and should have said "CATS FOR SALE". We have one rescue cat which was brought back from the Animal Welfare League by the vet. She has been here for four months, someone took her but it didn't work out and they brought her back. We are having a staff meeting tonight and will discuss her fate.
Well, it was love at first sight. I didn't know how sad I was until I saw Dusty and became so happy. She walked into the carry case and then, on arriving at our home, calmly stepped out, explored the whole house and then settled down on the couch as if to say, " I like it here". She has been making us happy for the last fifteen years.
