DeeJay came to me after a pretty toxic relationship from SAFE after having been returned by several families who couldn't handle her wild streak, that was 12 years ago. Since then she has gained a daddy, dog brother and human brother as our family has expanded. Watching her glow up has been amazing, no more is the cat who hides behind couches to attack you or be a bitey girl every time you try to interact. Instead we have the most loving, affectionate, cuddly older sister to my boys. She came to me as we were both learning to love again and we showed each other just how worthy each other were.
