Cate was adopted from Wet Noses Animal Rescue as an indoor pet for my children (Scarlett and Ava). However, she has not only taught my children about responsible cat ownership, but become my emotional support animal (for anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder) and she has even alerted us to a house fire. We didn't rescue her – She rescued us.
