Betty is 9 years old, she was left at a shelter a year ago in a terrible state. She had been used for breeding and most likely kept in a cage as her teeth are all ground down. She had extreme male fear aggression along with dog aggression. She had lost her trust in humans. Mount Alexander Welfare worked tirelessly on providing her with the love, training and the patience she needed. She slowly began to turn around and realised that she was capable of being loved. After 5 months at the shelter she was ready to go to a foster home. That is where my partner and I come in. We fostered for FFAR and as soon as we saw her profile knew we had to help. When she first came to us she was still anxious, she wouldn't go near a car and barked at my partner. We gave her all the time and love we could and she completely turned around. She now loves getting in the car to go for adventures and loves meeting strangers and making new dog friends. She had changed our lives just as much as we have changed hers. We adopted herandbroughtherbacktoNZwithuswithJETPETS.
