Barry may well be the best cat we've ever owned.
He turned up in our backyard skin & bones and limping badly. He was so small we thought he was a 6month kitten… and our new kitten at that. We took him to the vet where they informed us he was a three year old tom-cat, and after investigation, confirmed his leg was broken. We considered taking him to a shelter because we had no idea what he'd be like to adopt.
It was a big decision, but we kept him and had his leg amputated.
He's now a fluffy, sleek hoppy cat! With a big personality who likes to steal food and terrorise the dog. But he's inspirational. Despite being a tripod he is super active, and I have started clicker training him to give him some positive ways of obtaining extra food, rather than stealing it. He's a quick learner and I honestly didn't know cats were so trainable before trying with Barry. Unlike any other cat I've ever owned, he sleeps calmly on the bed all night.
