Aria was adopted from Rachie’s Ratirement Home in November 2018, and was my very first rescue pet. She has been the perfect role model for new additions given her confidence and the rescue’s fantastic screening process, which matches adopters up with rats that are a good forever home fit. When she isn’t the being alpha rat and keeping the peace in the cage, Aria insists on being one of the humans…she even has a favourite spot on the couch, and will race to it as soon as the spot becomes available. She is the reason I will always choose to adopt – we now have three additional rescue rats in our family, and it’s been the best decision we’ve ever made!
