Jetpets Rescue Awards 2018 features on Nine's Today Show

Alec, Robyn and Anne share their stories

The pet adoption stories of veterinarian and awards judge Dr Anne Fawcett, young teen Alec Campbell and dog lover Robyn Fabiano featured on the TODAY SHOW are examples of many other special ‘tails’ waiting to be told! (The stories featured on Nine’s TODAY SHOW have NOT been nominated for an award.)

“The Rescue Awards have brought together rehoming organisations, the commercial pet industry, and Australians who’ve adopted or fostered a pet, to shine a spotlight on companion animal rescue and the many amazing, dedicated people behind it!” said Cathy Beer, pet adoption advocate from Pets4Life, an independent education resource for cat and dog guardians and those thinking of getting a pet.

Australia has over 900 rescue groups and animal shelters supported by thousands of volunteers¹.

The Awards have seven categories with one winner for each category. Award categories 1 – 6 are for rehoming organisations, including Outstanding Rescue Group, Outstanding Animal Shelter, Outstanding Council Animal Shelter, Innovation in Rescue, Community Education and Outreach Program, and Volunteer of the Year.

Award category 7 – Advocate® People’s Rescue Story – is for Aussie pet guardians who have adopted or fostered a pet. Rescue pet owners and foster carers are invited to share their pet adoption story to WIN awesome prizes for their pet and their favourite Rehoming organisation.
