Dr Liisa Ahlström BVSc(Hon) PhD GradCertEdStud(HigherEd)
Liisa graduated from the University of Queensland (UQ) with a BVSc in 2001, before working in small animal practice and teaching veterinary anatomy in the Veterinary School at UQ. Liisa completed a PhD in the area of transdermal drug penetration, with the goal of improving the quality of lives of dogs with allergic skin disease. Liisa lectured in Veterinary Anatomy in the Faculty of Veterinary Science, at The University of Sydney from 2008 until 2012, completed a Graduate Certificate in Higher Education and continued her research in the field of transdermal drug penetration.
Liisa joined Bayer Animal Health as a Technical Services Veterinarian in 2013, and has since discovered a passion for companion animal parasites and vector-borne diseases. Liisa continues to enjoy her involvement in companion animal parasitology research and teaching and working with a team of likeminded animal lovers.
Liisa is very lucky to have two beautiful, very tolerant rescue cats (Charlie and Olive) in her family.
