Small animal veterinarian, co-star of Channel 9's Bondi Vet Coast to Coast
Dr Alison Shen BVSc (hons) CVA (IVAS) is a small animal veterinarian. Together with her identical twin, Dr Audrey, they operate and own Aussie Mobile Vet, a mobile vet business in Sydney and Brisbane.
The twins also run the ‘Future Vet Kids Camp‘, a camp teaching kids between the ages of 9-16 years all aspects of the animal and veterinary profession.
After running a successful veterinary hospital in the inner west suburbs of Sydney for 9 years, the sisters notice a huge demand for professional mobile vet services.
They started the concept of a mobile vet that “brings the consult room to you” with ability to provide a full range of professional services without the stress of bringing your pet to a busy clinic.
Dr Alison is also a qualified veterinary acupuncturist and runs the mobile rehabilitation unit in Brisbane. She has a passion complementary therapies and rehabilitation for patients post orthopaedic surgery and older pets.
Dr Alison has “Billy” a rescue GAP Greyhound and “Pineapple” and “Coconut”, two rescue guinea pigs!
Dr Alison and her Aussie Mobile Vet team have also been helping treat the injured wildlife from our devastating bushfires since January this year. Dr Alison says:
It has been incredibly rewarding to be able to bring the mobile vet units to these areas to treat and rehabilitate our precious wildlife.
