Here’s Rosalina’s story: Fostering can be heart breaking. Animals often come to us in poor health or injured. In Macy’s case, he had travelled over 50 km in a car engine. He was burned and his leg hung by a thread. After gathering this broken kitten into my arms, he looked at me and purred. He trusted me to help. Macy’s back leg and part of his tail needed amputation. No matter what he went through Macy bravely soldiered on. He just wanted attention and love. Oh how he loved to be nursed. He would just relax in your arms, gaze at you adoringly and purr. Macy may have lost a leg but knowing he was safe allowed him to blossom. Nothing slowed this tripod kitten down. He was soon climbing the cat tree and scooting around. Macy found the most amazing forever home (via Pound Rescue Inc.) with a beautiful lady named Agnes. Agnes had always wanted a special needs kitten. This was a match made in heaven.
I’ve learned a lot from Macy. No matter what life throws at you, you have to make the best of it and go forward. Find joy in the little things. Seeing Macy thrive has brought me great happiness.
